Prayers of an Excellent Wife by Andrew Case is a wonderful tool for prayer! I do not use it everyday, but when I do read it I always wonder why I don't. The prayers are so right and true, based on Scripture, an encouragement to me and a help to Steve. So, maybe you will pray for your husband today as I have. Glorious and Holy God, You have made me glad by Your work; at the works of Your hands I sing for joy. How great are Your works, O Lord, for You have made my husband! Your thoughts are very deep! Therefore keep him in Your care, and discipline him, and teach him out of Your law. For blessed is the man whom You discipline, to give him rest from days of trouble. Do not forsake him or abandon him as Your heritage.
If You are not his help, his soul would soon live in the land of silence. When his foot slips, hold him up, O Lord, with Your steadfast love. When the cares of his heart are many, cheer his soul with Your consolations. Become his stronghold, and his rock of refuge.
Oh come, my beloved, and let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For You, O Lord, are a great God, and a great King above all gods (Psalm 92, 94, 95).
